Redeem New Avatars
The avatar characters will represent the user on the platform and will appear in each panel of the journal story. This page will introduce you to the Store function and how to redeem new avatars.
Store
The store can be found on the left-sidebar of the MangaChat home page. Click here to enter the store and see the available avatars.
Store Introduction
Inside the store you will see a variety of avatars. Click the avatar character you like and a preview of their different facial expressions will be displayed to help the user decide which avatar they would like to obtain. There are tabs for several different types of avatars including holiday-themed and animals.
Obtain Your Avatar
If there is no Mood Candy shown beside the avatar you can choose it for free.
Click the character and click Obtain.
Already Obtained Character
A yellow tick beside of the character, means you already obtained it
Redeem an Avatar
Some characters need Mood Candy to redeem so make sure you have enough Mood Candy. If the character has a shadow, it means that the character can't be redeemed yet. You will need the Golden Key to unlock and enough Mood Candy to redeem it. The other way you can redeem it is by using a Magic Emerald to obtain it directly.
To redeem an avatar you will need the amount of Mood Candy that is shown beside it.
The mood candy is an incentive to write longer journals or write more often. Whenever you complete a journal story, you receive Mood Candy as an award. The number of candies you currently have will be displayed at the top of the screen.
The amount of Mood Candy you get will double if you post several stories on the same day.
In the store main page, you can see the amounts of Golden Key and Magic emerald on the top-right corner that you currently have.
By clicking Golden Key or Magic emerald, you can see the explanations. By using Golden Key, you can directly unlock specific characters even when you haven’t reached the required level.
When you click the locked character, you can see ""unlock directly with the key". Click it if you want to obtain the character.
*notice: once you click to unlock, it will unlock and your Golden Key will be deducted. Please be aware of it!
When a character is unlocked with the green emerald icon, you will need Mood Candy to redeem it. By using one Magic Emerald, you can directly obtain it.
