Introduction inside of the platform and functions of MangaChat after you log in.

Journal Name and Cover

You can name the journal and choose a color for your journal book here.

Recently Updated

The last updated journal will be displayed at the top of the screen. Click it and you will enter the journal. If you click Post Story, you will automatically enter the journal and add a new story.

Click Post Story to directly go to the last updated journal.

If you want to use another journal to post a story, you must choose the journal you want to use.

Journal List

Journal list shows the journal(s) you have created or added previously. Click the + to add more journal books.

Once this is completed the set up process is complete and the user will be able to write their first journal post.

Settings and Notifications

Settings

At the top of the screen, the total number of candies will be displayed and the name will be displayed on the right. These candies are awarded based on the quality of the journals that have been posted. These candies can be used to purchase new avatars in the store.

Click Settings to edit your account and profile information. For detailed instruction, please refer to the next step Edit Your Account and Profile Information.

Notifications

When comments are made on the journals the user receives a notification. Comments can be made by parents or teachers on the backend of the platform. This will be explained in more detail in the teacher dashboard manual. On the top-right click to browse the notifications.

The user will see red numbers next to the bell which indicate the number of notifications. Click the bell to browse the notifications and go directly to the journal post.
